The 2018 Winter Olympics
The Olympic Games are split into two competitions — both the Winter Olympics as well as the Summer Olympics. Both take place every four years. The Winter Olympics is the smaller of these two contests, but it still features events and a number of distinct sports.
Somewhat of course, the Winter Olympics are. They featured curling, and skiing in a variety of forms, along with figure skating, speed skating, bobsleigh.
In recent years sports are added to the program. Included in these are a few other forms of skiing and skating, snowboarding, and skeleton (a kind of sledding).
The introduction of sports has helped to expand the appeal of the Winter Olympics. They had been traditionally of interest mostly in North America and Europe, because the majority of the competing athletes came from these regions.
Throughout the last few years, however, athletes from nations like South Korea and Australia have collaborated successfully in occasions. It has led to audiences around the globe.
Each Winter Olympics is held in a different host city. In twenty five states spread across the three continents, they’ve been held So far. The United States was home to the competition more times than any other nation (4), most recently back in 2002.
The Winter Olympics were held in 2014, in Sochi, Russia. The next would be to be held in February of the year, in PyeongChang County, South Korea. Although they hosted the Summer Olympics in 1988, That is South Korea’s first Winter Olympics.
