Former defensive end Arthur Moats, 31, announced his retirement from the NFL on Monday, via Twitter.
Moats played nine seasonswith the Buffalo Bills and Pittsburgh Steelers and one using the Arizona Cardinals.
He had 16.5 sacks and 202 combined tackles with all the Bills and Steelers in eight years, but did not play with a snap with the Cardinals in 2018 after suffering a sprained MCL and being published in October.
The most memorable moment of Moats‘ career came in 2010 — his rookie season — after he delivered the hit Brett Favre that ended his consecutive start streak at 297 games.
